Crisis Centre for Carers

-  Triple C

The Crisis Centre for Carers (Triple C ) is a community based, non-profit organization operating in Mombasa, Kenya.  The centre was established in 2001 by a Kenyan woman, Mama Rose, in order to bridge the gap between caretakers and HIV/AIDS children, Orphan Vulnerable Children (OVC) and other children in difficult circumstances.

Triple C offers counselling, support and education/training  to caretakers who have no other support. As a result of HIV/AIDs in Kenya, many parents have died leaving the very young or the very old to care for families and extended families:  12 year olds caring for siblings on their own, widows trying to raise their children as well as their nieces and nephews, elderly grandparents trying to care for an extended family on their own.

They have no income, no government support and no hope. These caretakers need support so they can continue to care for their families.

Triple C was registered in 2002 at the Ministry of Social Services in Kenya. It is a place of HOPE, COMFORT and RELIEF for both infected and affected persons, including families and the community at large.
